My Top 5 Favorite Free E-books For The Nook

Free? Yes, Please!

I love to read. In fact, I love reading so much that I would rather a gift card to Barnes & Noble than a piece of jewelry that will sit on my dresser collecting dust. With that being said, I can easily get myself in trouble when shopping on my Nook. It's so easy to browse through the thousands and thousands of books and just click the "buy" button without paying attention to the cost.....which in turn gets me in hot water with my husband. I've learned to limit my purchases each month while still getting tons and tons of books. How can I do this on a limited budget? Free e-books baby! I love them! Barnes & Noble has free e-book Fridays where they will promote a free ebook that you can get anytime through the week. Once you have it, it is yours for as long as you want it. Sometimes though, just one free ebook a week isn't enough. Other free ebooks are available, but it can be time consuming trying to find them. If you're looking for some fantastic books to finish out the summer but don't want to spend any money, no worries because I've put together a list of my top 5 favorite ebooks that you'll be able to download and start reading immediately.

How to Make iPhone Apps With No Programming Experience eBook Review

Interested in Making and Selling Apps?

Angry Birds was making $10 million a year in 2010 (and that's just from the app), iShoot made over $600,000 in a single month, and a simple-minded app called iFart that, you guessed it,makes fart noises managed to rake in $27,000 over a two day period during the holiday season.
Apps are big business and there's no denying that. Anybody with even an ounce of interested in making money in the game and technology industry knows that those aren't numbers to sneeze at.
They also know that as time goes by, it will only become harder to earn big with apps, unless a new market opens up (for example, many apps that are available in the Apple App Store aren't in the Android Marketplace, now called Google Play). However, that doesn't mean it's impossible as many new apps introduced to the App Store today are still getting a pretty huge reception.

Could you imagine being on the New and Noteworthy section of the app store?

Don't Buy a Kindle (Wifi or 3G) as a Gift for a Book Lover!

Book Lovers Should Love Ereaders - Right?

I'm a voracious reader. Maybe you know one too? Maybe you think that the best gift you could buy for the book lover in your life is a Kindle? Maybe a Wifi or 3G or even a brand new Kindle Fire? Do think again (at least about the Wifi or 3G - the Kindle Fire might be okay, but you'll need to read on to find out why...)
My husband had the same bright idea of buying me a Kindle Wifi since I am so obviously a book lover, but he couldn't have been more wrong with this gift! Having noted that my head is often engrossed in a book my dear husband logically thought that an e-book reader would create whoops of joy, smiles and happiness all round - yet it has only made me feel guilty, and him disappointed.

The Perfect Gift?

Kindle VS Real Books - Will E-Books Replace Traditional Books?

Reading e books on Kindle or iPad is the biggest thing since Gutenberg invented the printing press. Or is it? The relatively new phenomena of ebooks and the success of Amazon's Kindle is throwing the world of publishing and reading into a whole new age of controversy and turmoil.
Now, I will admit to being the type of person who may seem a bit backward to some, but technologically knowledgeable to my more neolithic type friends. Like (I suspect) a lot of people, especially Baby Boomers and older folks, I am not a tech head. I do not own a lot of electronic gadgetry, but I am no troglodyte. Instead of plunging into the electric revolution, I pick and choose between convenience and what looks to me like rampant consumerism, attempting to find a middle ground.
Sure, I have a cell phone. And understand something of the Internet, but I was just not ready to jump in feet first and plunk out $139.00 on what can be perceived as a new toy. Now, Amazon is offering a Kindle at a mere $114.00!
But I do love books and love to read, and am fascinated with the new wireless reading devices on the market. So far, Kindle seems to be the best ereader out there. But, I am still reading novels the old fashioned way.
I decided to share my investigations with you and look forward to your input in the comments section.
